In March of 2022 I moved back to Manitoba from Vancouver. I quickly realized that a lot of Winnipeg photography studios had been wiped out by the pandemic. The problem being that over the past year I had fallen in LOVE with stylized brand work. Let’s just say I was determined to find a Winnipeg studio that worked for both me and my clients. I did what anyone would do, I started with a Google search, “Winnipeg photography studios”. All I found were dated articles and ads promoting local photographers. Previously, in Vancouver I had been spoiled with a program called Giggster which contained 20+ pages of Vancouver studio options. Instead of giving up my search I started asking around, which took A LOT of time. Today I’m going to share all of the photography studios currently in Winnipeg Manitoba. Whether you’re a client of mine or a fellow photographer I hope this blog post helps you find a studio space that is right for you.

Kat, all I can say is that Winnipeg needed your studio! Earthling Studio is white and bright. It’s one of my favourite spaces in Winnipeg to create in. This space is beautifully stylized, yet still minimal, providing the perfect blank canvas for a photography session. Earthling currently has two rooms available for rent. Looking for a slightly larger space? Allure has some great options. My personal favourite is the Lighthouse studio, a white room with wooden floors and large windows. In my opinion, this is a great space for a photography workshop. I’ve also photographed over a dozen client sessions here as you can really customize the space to your project. Allure has a total of five studios in different styles. Check them out here: https://www.allure-studios.ca/studios .

When I buy house I will ask Kait where she got EVERYTHING in her space. Kait certainly has an eye for design, every cup, candle, and book in her space communicates that. If you’re looking for a beautifully styled home for your session check out her space here: https://giggster.com/listing/28681-historic-wolseley-gem.

First off, the owners are SO accommodating! I haven’t shot here yet, but I have toured the entire space. Their upstairs studio is white and offers plenty of window lighting. Last time I visited, Eric and Trevor were renovating more studio spaces in their building. So keep an eye out as they complete that project! Learn more here: https://www.unreelcreative.com/studio

I moved back to Winnipeg in early March and I haven’t shot here yet! May 11th has two studios, including over 10 feature walls (backdrops) for your next photography session. Learn more here: https://www.may11studio.com/studio-a

This is another studio I haven’t visited yet. From what I’ve gathered online they have three studios available, Studio Blanche, Studio Noir and The Pavillion Studio. You can check out their instagram highlights for a tour of each space! Learn more through their website: https://www.createbeyondboundaries.com/beyond-studios1/beyond-studios
I had trouble finding a photograph of the space. This is a picture I took at the last workshop I hosted at Temple23. Unfortuantely, I don’t have any wider images of the space.
When you click on Temple23’s website you will quickly realize that they are not a photography business. Rather, they have a studio space available for rent for all types of projects. On Temple23’s instagram highlights you can find a walk through tour of the studio. Learn more here: https://www.temple23.ca/about-1

I would LOVE to do some photography in this space. This home has been carefully designed with a hint of the 70s. If you’re looking for a stylized home for your next portrait, family or branding session this may be the perfect place.

If you are currently a client of mine you will start by completing a brand Q+A. Using your answers I will then recommend a photography studio to you. Together, we’ll be able to find a space that’s the right size and style for your project.
